NFPA 25 Inspections

The minimum requirements for inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems are described in the NFPA standard, NFPA 25: Standard for the Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire Protection Systems.

NFPA 25 calls for periodic inspection of sprinkler systems, essentially to address the operating condition of the system and its components.

While inspection frequency can vary by item and Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements, NFPA 25 establishes that inspections are required at a minimum, annually.
